I couldn’t agree more with this. People who call themselves in the business of selling Hip-Hop always piss me off when they say you have to “dumb it down”. You want me to “dumb down” my culture?? Really!

Woow. This short look into the making of Jay-z’s biggest hit to date ( Hard Knock Life) is incredible to say the least. To hear the legendary producer, 45 king, talk about his progression in finding the record is mind blowing if you’re a fan of good old fashion crate digging (which I’m sure you are!). The craziest thing about this short for me was finding out that he also produced one of Eminem’s biggest hits Stan. 45 king gets infinte props from True Conns….these so-called producers should take note.

WTF!!! Nike came out with a casual elf boot?? I’m soo mad at Undefeated for carrying these. I usually post up shoes that I get emails about from the homey Jay at undftd bigging up the new releases but I got the heads up on these a few weeks back and haven’t stopped laughing since. I was browsing around Kanye’s blog a little bit and thought it was dope how he was throwing up the old Jordan and Mars commercials. Maan that was by far the dopest advertisement campaign EVER (I dare a dude to name one iller…thought so lol) and it forever changed how Nike went about marketing their sneakers. But for me, this has alot of personal nostalgia value to it. Growing up I didn’t have a mom or dad (save you’re sympathy lol) but what I did have was my older bro. My brother is like 15 yrs my senior so this was HIS era. Girls, money, sports, Jordans, Kangol fisherman hats and girls.haha Real talk, I used to think dude was the Fresh Prince. A real life hero (to me atleast). And being his lil bro he used to keep me LACED with Jordans and Levi’s, which I still wear to this day, thats the True Conns uniform practically.lol He even kept his main chick in the Infrared 6’s if memory serves me correct. Maaann I miss the old (Sunny) days he used to take me to the mall with him, even IF he was just using me to pick up more chicks.smh That was my shit. And to me dude is a legend for that. But now…he’s old, fat, and married with a child (lowkey Al Bundy status). His days of being fly are long gone, that plane landed years ago.lol Ironically, now I find myself in the same place he was in that era right now and he has a son whose 3 1/2 years old and I feel it’s my duty to keep his son fly in Jordans like he did for me (w/of course me occassionally using him to pick up chicks also lol). Our president has some extreme difficulties dealing with people who plain and simply wants to see him lose, even if it means our country FAILING another term. Need I remind you why our country is in this turmoil? How about a decade of fuckery from the True Terrorist… This is very little…but if enough of us come together then we can make a difference.
